For a while I've been fighting bad wastegate rattle and wastegates getting stuck open (no codes). So I finanlly brought it to my dealerships attention and my appointment is set for Friday. Currently I'm full bolt on and I was open with them about it. I figured why lie about it. Any normal mechanic is going to be able to tell if the stock intercooler, dps and chargepipe ect. were removed and put back. Things just don't look the same. My dealer said the wastegates are know issues and that my mods "shouldn't" void the warranty. Claiming they are going to try to have them covered..... As long as I'm not running high boost, hence why I'm removing the cobb ap and letting the bms dp fix on.
COUPLE QUESTIONS. Even if the Ap is unmarried will the history be traceable? I told them if they evaluate it and say they won't cover it to not do any work because I would rather spend the money on vargas stage 2's. Can a dealership tear the whole thing apart and at the end say they aren't going to cover it? I recently noticed my vacuum/boost lines are looking questionable, but feel I shouldn't change the lines before the dealer. Has anyone with failed wastegates had the same issues? Turbos are starting to feel laggy, they randomly open up on the highway losing all boost and a god awful exhaust note. I've been trying to take logs but every time I get errors, so tuners can't really help me.
Just looking for some feedback, suggestions and fingers crossed. I just want to drive my car again. I literally put only 1,000 miles on my car this summer because of lack of time to work on it. Drives me insane.
