General: BMW 135/335/1m cowl filter covers.
If anyone ever ran without a cowl and just the filters you know they really look out of place and just plain ugly and also dont protect the car from water entering through the air filters in a heavy down pour or when washing your car.
With Hydra Performance we came up with a low cost version which looks quite nice.
The logo will be the right way up on the production version.
Details will be up shortly
They cost $99 USD

N54: Does Anyone Know What Happened to XDF TO XML Project?
I'm fairly new to the platform, but have been self tuning for over 10yrs. In my attempt to drink from the firehose of info on this platform, I have come across two posts regarding the conversion of xdf files to xml-- I don't have the links on hand (will link later). One by Jyamona was intended to be used for ECUFlash, and the other was a bespoke program OP was trying to sell as competitor to TunerPro. Both of which are infinitely more appealing than TP (No offense to anyone involved with the software, and I appreciate anything open source).
Does anyone know what happened to that project? I may be a scrub, but am not an opportunist, and would thus be happy to pay or pay it forward.
Thanks!
Cm

N54: N54 Stand alone ECUs
I have recently went through around 20 ecu options for my setup and have a few you might like and will save you days looking into them with a few named below. After researching into alot of old forums I found that many companies have copied other peoples work and people change companies and started companies with the same or similar ecus. Anyway theirs lots to choose from that will work with the N54.
Not sure how many people know theres more choices for plug n play then just Syvecs for N54. Personally I think getting an expensive ecu and running direct injection is defeating the purpose but theres currently 2 companies that can run piezo injectors if you want to go that way.
Syvecs
SCS Delta
After going through around 20 ecus and narrowing it down to 4 that have all the traits I require and n54 needs. After playing around on 9 of them that I downloaded with features I wanted this is the list I made and why.
What I needed and wanted:
Communication to supplier if needed
drive by wire
cam control
engine safeties
knock inputs
drag orientated options like traction control boost by gear speed ect
software I felt comfortable with
enough inputs and outputs for sensors i needed
Base map or someone experienced with the ecu I could communicate with
ECU origianl list:
Syvecs
Delta
Link
Haltech
Fueltech
AEM
Maxxecu
Emtron
Motec
ECU shortlist:
AEM infinity - Software very easy layout and logging
Motec gpr-m130 - Its motec enough said software layout is very user friendly, more options that you could ever need, n54 base map
Emtron KV8 - lots of inputs and outputs like double the rest
Maxxecu - Easy to use software not quite as nice as AEM or motec, N54 base map
Special mention Fuel tech FT550 ECU I was set on getting this until I was unable to get straight answers from reps or figure out the software cam control as it is just on off control and they are on 3 month back order for the FT550. Also no knock sensors input is not available.
I ended up chosing Maxxecu
It had all the features i needed
I am comfortable with the software
N54 base map
Ecu Support in my country
Thats my list anyway screw the HPFP.

N54: VTT Cast CNC Aluminum N54 Valve Cover
Hey Guys happy to announce our latest VTT product solution for the N54 platform.
VTT Cast CNC aluminum N54 valve cover.
We have been working on this for a while, trying to balance cost-effectiveness with good looks and high quality. We believe we have found the solution. This is a cast version of our incredibly popular Billet CNC valve cover. Instead of starting with a billet piece of aluminum, this cover is cast, then it goes through the same machining process as our billet VC. This keeps the cost down and makes for an awesome valve cover that eliminates the factory plastic cover (and its cyclonic PCV system). This allows you to run any of our modular PCV fittings, crankcase breather, vacuum relief, billet banjos, catch can kits, etc.
This truly is the best bang for your buck Valve Cover upgrade on the N54 market. High quality, low price, great looks, no cracking, and unlimited PCV plumbing options makes this a no brainer upgrade!
We offer three color options. Clear Anodize (please keep in mind, this will show casting imperfections as not all surfaces are machined), Black Wrinkle and Red Wrinkle Powder coat (wrinkle finishes will hide all casting imperfections and look the best). There is no charge for powder coating options. We offer custom colors of anodizing, and powder coat at $150 for either.
Valve Cover Details:
Please select a color, if we do not have it in stock, we will let you know, and you can choose another. Custom colors are a $150 upcharge. For the fittings, we have many available choose what you would like. If you have questions please drop us an email.
IMPORTANT NOTES:
The Cast Aluminum CNC Valve cover is currently available for Pre-Order and we should have 10 Black Wrinkle, and 5 Red Wrinkle in about 2-3 weeks.

- Price $649.00
- Cast CNC 6061-T6 Aircraft aluminum construction
- Anodized or powder-coated in a variety of colors (Color Pictures coming shortly)
- Lightweight; 9.0 lbs. (compared to 7.9 lbs for a stock cover - only 1.1 lbs difference)
- Gives the end-user true variety for setting up their Valve Cover and PCV System by utilizing all existing VTT PCV fitting, and breather options
- Lower pricing than other non-modular cast options on the market
Please select a color, if we do not have it in stock, we will let you know, and you can choose another. Custom colors are a $150 upcharge. For the fittings, we have many available choose what you would like. If you have questions please drop us an email.
IMPORTANT NOTES:
- THE STAINLESS BREATHER WILL NOT FIT ON THE FRONT ORB AS IT WILL NOT CLEAR THE HOOD.
- This cover may or may not fit with your engine cover depending on how you have it set up, and is designed to be run without an engine cover.
- This fits the BMW N54 engine ONLY
The Cast Aluminum CNC Valve cover is currently available for Pre-Order and we should have 10 Black Wrinkle, and 5 Red Wrinkle in about 2-3 weeks.

N54: WINKFP error 106
Hi guys,
I installed WINKFP and I installed and updated everything as mentionned in bimmergeek and I keep getting the error 106 when trying to update the ecu?
I seen a lot's of solution on google but none of them fixed my issue. I manually copied the gdaten and ecu files into the c: folder and still not working???
Thank you guys!
